Definitely a stretch to call what they served me 1/4 of a rotisserie. There was a tiny tiny drumstick with minimal meat on it. There were two other pieces that had zero meat. It was served over a bed of stuff nobody would ever want. Pickled/spiced onions and a lot of dry/boring/bland cabbage. Pretty weak overall. Seams like they spend too much on their uninteresting sides and neglect the focus of the meal: the protein.

Salad was very poor. Very little salmon,

food very acidic; chicken very dry. I don't normally get acid reflux w/ food, but I did with this...

My order was confirmed with an estimated delivery time of 20-30 minutes... over an hour later, I still hadn't received my food so I called the restaurant. Somehow, they hadn't even realized my order existed and my food hadn't been made yet. When I spoke to the manager, he was completely unapologetic. As someone who manages a restaurant that is a Seamless vendor, this is completely unacceptable. My food hasn't arrived yet but I will never order from here ever again.

ordered Paniolo Cowboy BBQ Pork Ribs, but got my ribs as if they were from a local Chinese restaurant. I personally has nothing against Chinese style ribs, but who would have thought a cowboy BBQ ribs would end up like that. Huge disappointment...

basically the most delicious good quality food ever!! delivery time is very fast as well. lots and lots of stars and thumbs up

Boring grilled chicken and boring rice that arrived COLD and 40 minutes after their estimated delivery time. Avoid this.

Very, very poor experience. $13.95 barbecue ahi plate consisted of three absolutely tiny medallions of cold tuna, with a small handful of limp, cold soggy fries and a half-filled container of macaroni salad (at least the latter was supposed to be cold, I assume).
It's been a while since I still felt hungry after a $17.00 (after tax and tip) lunch. The $13.95 was for a regular "dinner" portion - so I honestly can't imagine what their special plate lunch, which supposedly consists of a half-portion and doesn't include the two sides, must be. One and a half forkfuls of fish on a spoonful of rice, maybe? I mean, honestly, I would have considered the portion I received small for a lunch special; to pay the full dinner price for that is just insulting.
The ahi (while it was fresh and cooked to the proper degree of rareness) wasn't really what I'd call barbecue - the only taste present was that of the tuna. Which, in itself, wouldn't be that big a fault - if they'd at least supplied more than a couple of mouthfuls worth. The fact that it was cold didn't hurt the fish that much, but the fries, being both cold and soggy, were virtually inedible (fortunately there weren't that many to try to choke down).
The food, to be fair, probably was reasonably warm when it came out of the kitchen. The problem was that the restaurant got the address wrong, sending the poor delivery guy to an office we vacated last year, despite the fact that the Seamless receipt *clearly* has the correct address on it. What the heck -- do they have their own database and think they know better than Seamless does where we want our food sent?! Anyway, a big waste of delivery guy's time and of my time as we both waited pointlessly for many minutes in different lobbies. Hopefully they'll be more careful in the future to look at the actual address on Seamless orders, but it won't affect me, because I certainly won't be ordering from them again.

The delivery estimate was 20-35 minutes, and the food shows up in 70 minutes. Hence, the food was already cold, and the meat was not cooked properly.

Waited almost an hour for food, which tasted awful. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The food here is really awesome. The first time I ordered from here I got the huli huli chicken and the portions were very large and the flavors were really wonderful. I don't know that I would really characterize everything as Hawaiian, but it is all delicious. The sandwiches are also very big and fresh. I highly recommend this place.

DO NOT ORDER HERE. Yet another local establishment that delivers but can't maintain any level of service once the food leaves their doors. Ordered my food, it didn't come and the place lied again and again about their supposed efforts to contact me for delivery. I can't exactly rate the food since it never came.

I order from here all the time. Never had an issue with an order and delivery is always prompt. The food is very delicious!

Food is terrible and they have a hard time getting the order correct. Other than that, it's pretty bad.

I ordered the corn salad. It came as corn on the cob! How am I supposed to eat that for lunch at work!?!
Posted a year ago by Marc Z.
The reviewer who said the ribs are impossible to eat was spot on. The portion was huge and they looked amazing, but when I bit in, there was nothing but fat, gristle and impenatrable skin. 2 stars because the sides (corn and lime fries) were tasty, and even the sauce on the ribs was tasty despite the poor quality of the meat. I will try this place again, but will definitely avoid the ribs and possibly any other meat products that should be high quality (steak, etc.) so as not to be so disappointed in the future.

Food is delicious, but portions are pretty small, although they do give you some sides [macoroni/potato salad and kimchi (pickled spicy cabbage, tastes better than it sounds)]

Spicy Short Ribs - awful. 75% was bone and gristle. Kimchi was not good either
Posted a year ago by Lauren V.
My teryaki beef had bone connected to it. The beef was inedible - I couldn't finish eating.

The food arrived after 45 minutes when the states delivery time was 20-35 minutes. The huli huli 1/2 chicken had great flavor, however - the manner in which they butcher and serve it is bizarre. The entire half chicken, inclusive of the carcass, was hacked into thick chunks/slices causing you to go on a hunt to avoid the slivers of bone and chunks of gristle that would be avoided if it were simply presented as a half chicken for you to cut yourself. In addition - by pre-slicing the chicken they caused it to dry out. Shame

Ordered the whole chicken ($16). It was a whole freaking chicken. Took two boxes, and three+ meals to eat it.
Posted 2 years ago by Rubun D.
The teriyaki chicken was delicious! It was hot and spicy. The miso salmon was delicious as well, although it looked a bit messed up by time it got to us. Each dish came with a cup of rice and a cup of steamed mixed vegetables, and those two sides went well with the spicy sauces! The only bad part was our spring rolls. They were fried, and they came to us ice cold (the rest of our food was hot). not only was the outside not warm, but the inside filling was very cold, so we were concerned that the rolls weren't cooked all the way. Since the rolls had shrimp in them, we decided just not to eat them.

I grew up in Oahu and ate local hawaiian food and this restaurants does NOT comparare to even the worst local style restaurant in Hawaii. I got Hulihuli chicken and motchiko chicken which is a local favorite in Hawaii and they tasted horrible. The hulihuli chicken and macaroni salad taste like medicine and was dry. I expected so much because it felt good knowing there was a local hawaiian restaurant in NYC but definitely a wrong misinterpretation of the local food.

Long delivery times, but worth it for great food!

not a fan... understand this is NY and all but expected a little more Hawaii style (me=raised in HI) spam musubi was not the spam musubi i expected... and korean bbq was tough and burnt... also the food was overall OVER-salty.

Very poor. Ordered the ribs which were chewy and tasteless - nothing like the desciption. 'Wedges' were just overcooked fries. Forgot to include utensils.

The food is always fresh, usually plentiful, delivered hot and always on time. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and it is a good value.

Who knew I could indulge my love for hawaiian and polynesian cuisine at the comfort of my desk.
After a trip to Hawaii a few years ago, I always lamented the lack of choices in NYC. This restaurant changes that by using authentic spices and styles of cooking. Did I mention it is good, so good.
My only caveat: I wish the side dishes were as authentic or as good as the main dishes in channelling the big Island.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT YOUR FOOD IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS. Worst delivery service amongst all seamlessweb vendors. Food is extremely old and no longer edible. Sauce spilled all over the bag and has made everything in the bag a complete mess. Might as well donate your money to charity since ordering from this restaurant will be a complete waste.

Love the lime fries and the Aji chicken! So good (though the fries can get a little soggy with delivery).

Called and told me my order couldn't be delivered and had to be cancelled. Then they forgot to cancel my order. I called again asking them to cancel it. Still it wasn't cancelled. Awful.

They "lost" the delivery person and it took over an hour and 15 minutes for me to receive my food, after being quoted 20-35 minutes. The food was just okay. Will not order from there again.
Posted 3 years ago by Katie B.
I guess this restaurant was under new ownership since last year. The "hawaiian" food has really gone down hill and is no longer even close to authentic.
Posted 3 years ago by Brad C.
Food is excellent! Everything on the menu is tasty. Quantities are plentiful. However service has gone down as of late. They were always a little slow on delivery but it has been getting later and later these days. Also, lately, they are making more mistakes (missing items) on the orders.

Katsu Curry and Kalbi was AWESOME!
I'm sure most people would like it.
Hamburger steak was not so great rather salty.

I placed an order from this restaurant when it claimed that delivery would be between 25 and 30 minutes. 1 hour and 20 minutes later, the food had still not arrived. After two phone calls to the restaurant during which I was told the food would arrive in "three minutes," the food still had not arrived. Finally, an our and forty minutes after I ordered, my food was delivered. I had ordered the fish tacos, and I was extremely disappointed with the food. The tacos were terrible and the sides were no better. I will never order from this restaurant again.

i almost never rate seamlessweb vendors, but this place rocks my world... cheap, delicious, and generous with the portions... i am in heaven!
Posted 4 years ago by Tim K.
Huh? Food showed up a half-hour late. Sushi was warm. Fish tacos included a salty soup-like mixture with 3 tiny pieces of fish. My husband said it was barely edible. Won't order from here again.

Previously I left a very good review for this place, but honestly, it's gone downhill since I did so. The food is pretty much the same but the delivery is now absolutely horrible. Twice in a row the guy was over half an hour late AND expected me to meet him in the lobby of my office building to pick my now cold lunch. I'm not ordering from them anymore. I guess if you went to pick it up you'd be fine, just don't get delivery.
Posted 4 years ago by robin k.
The delivery time was close to an hour and the wait was certainly not worth it. Perhaps there are some good items on the menu, but we clearly missed them. Actually, the ground beef tasted slightly of how dog food smells. No, this was a miss for us...then again it could have been a bad night.
Posted 4 years ago by Edward S.
Everything here is excellent! And the prices are sooooo reasonable! Where else can you get a ribeye steak lunch (with rice, slaw, and a macaroni/potato salad mix) for under $7? The ribs are so tender they fall off the bone. The BBQ chicken isn't hot and spicy -- it's more sweet and the sauce is like a bourbon sauce -- so if you're looking for spicy, it isn't for you, though it's great for me. The "Hawaiian street corn" makes you feel like you are at a luau. I order from here every chance I get!

I truly do not enjoy writing negative reviews about a restaurant, however... I was a former fan of Hawaiian's food, they have a unique offering and a tasty selection. Yet, the condiments I received with my second to last order from them were moldy. Yes, moldy. So, I didn't order from them for some time and lately decided to give them another shot. This time, without being graphic, the food went in and out much faster than I would have desired. Thus, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant unless you are physically able to see the food being prepared... it's a shame, as I thought their food was of high quality at one point.

I frequently go to Hawaiian Island Grill to pick up food and this is my first experience through seamless web via delivery. The deliver time was prompt and the cheeseburger was absolutely delicious. All their chicken dishes have great taste and texture. I really love this place. Oh, by the way, they added a new sections of snacks that is a must try.

Ordered the pork chops, which comes with two of them. One was fresh. The other was OBVIOUSLY a left over piece that was re-cooked. It was also hard to cut into. I had just ordered this dish the day before, so I certainly didn't appreciate being given the "depreciated" pork chop. I would be hesitant to order this again.

Worst ribs I ever had. The only thing that was good was the macaroni/potato salad.
Posted 5 years ago by Dennis R.
The ribs are too die for and the portions of the stir-fries were huge; the chicken sandwiches were hits but the cold bean salad was a bummer and there should have been a lot more black bean sauce in the stir fry. Overall, a lot of bang for the buck.

Delivery was a little slow (delivered a little outside of the time range), but the food was delicious and well-priced. The rotisserie chicken was my favorite with the maui onion chili a close second.

Variety of food on the Menu and good portions for the price. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for good food for a cheap price.
